HOW RAPID BIKE TECHNOLOGY WORKS

Discover how Rapid Bike optimizes engine fuel mixture, improving performance, efficiency and riding pleasure

A new approach to fuel-mixture management

The evolution of electronics in modern engines has introduced numerous sensors to control combustion and reduce emissions. Among these, the lambda sensor plays a key role in monitoring the air-fuel mixture. However, the strategies used by original ECUs (OEM) to comply with emission regulations often penalize engine performance.

Rapid Bike was born to overcome this limit, offering a new fuel-mixture management that improves delivery, rideability and engine efficiency.

Lambda sensor: why it has become a limitation

The lambda sensor measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases and allows the original bike ECU (OEM ECU) to adjust the injection timing to keep emissions low.

To comply with emission regulations, the OEM ECUs keep the engine in a lean fuel-mixture state, especially at low and mid revs. This affects riding quality, reducing performance and smoothness.

The Rapid Bike solution

Rapid Bike uses a completely different approach: instead of removing the lambda sensor, the system uses its signal to optimize the fuel mixture, not only to limit pollution but also to optimize engine performance.

The Rapid Bike control unit acts directly on the injectors to adjust the amount of fuel injected, while dynamically modulating the lambda sensor signal. This way the original ECU keeps working correctly without detecting any anomaly in the air/fuel ratio.

The result is a more stable, efficient and better-performing system.

Self-adaptive function: an exclusive Rapid Bike technology

Rapid Bike integrates a control system similar to that used by the original ECUs, but with a different goal: keeping the ideal fuel mixture for engine performance.

The ECU continuously compares the target air/fuel ratio with the value detected by the lambda sensor, intervening in real time to optimize injection.

Beyond the static map

With Rapid Bike the concept of a static injection map becomes obsolete.
The ECU can update the map directly while riding, adapting to:

  • sport exhausts
  • high-performance air filters
  • engine modifications
  • changes in ambient and riding conditions

This is possible thanks to our exclusive self-adaptive function, which always guarantees optimal performance.
